This is very simple from my point of view: you draft from a standpoint of pure talent, and later hope your organizational culture, along with the own player's maturity, will fix this over time.
Sure if you're getting an Allen Iverson or a D Cousins but those level talents are usually at the top of the draft - not the middle. Also they can goto a crappy team and get away w/ antics because the team doesn't want to piss off their star player.
Dubs stars have championship pedigree and classy as can be. Sure you can argue that maybe a talent like JJ can keep it together if under the wings of a Draymond.
But what if he can't? You can take the kid out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of the kid - isn't that the saying? What if his head is so big he thinks he can still do what he wants? Can the team afford that level of malcontent when trying to maintain a championship culture?
For all everyone says about Wiseman, he's clearly got good work ethic and doesn't blame others for his mistakes - That's.a coachable personality.
I seriously have my reservations about JJ
Can someone enlighten me as to what all these Jalen Johnson worrisome red flags are?
What has he actually done to be painted as a risk?
I'm assuming there must be some first degree murder or rape charge I haven't heard about.
