IMO Philly fans know hoops as much or more than any fan base.
One of the rumors is the trade with Warriors sending Wiggins and our picks for Ben.
Question: Wouldn't Draymond Green be a much better option for your squad? Trust me...if he's on your team you've got the meanest SOB and an unquestionable leader. He's a master ball distributor and all-defensive player.
Yes he's older....but if you guys are in a win now mode (next 2-3 years) wouldn't you want to have a super clutch dude helping Embiid and Tobias and Seth get it done?
Wiggins just not a leader type...I think your team needs toughness and clutchness and Draymond will give you both. He'll hit is FTs when it matters most...and he CAN hit a 3 in the biggest of moments.
Thoughts?

Maybe you don't know what you wrote. You said trade Tobias for CJ because that's the only thing we haven't tried for Ben and Biid. What you don't seem to appreciate is that keeping Ben on the court when he refuses to shoot is a non-starter. It won't matter a lick if you have a PG when you are constantly stuck playing 4 on 5. If you can't 100% guarantee that Ben returns next season willing to shoot then you've lost your last window to dump his pansy-a** onto another team.
You also can't presume the Sixers are "worse" without Ben if you get an all-star level point guard or a wing and sign a PG. Frankly, I think the team is as good and likely better just by forcing opponents to respect all 5 positions on defense in the half court.
Simmons for Green
Harris for McCollum
Maxey (if he's ready)
McCollum - Curry
Embiid
Green
Green
We keep our young players and picks, Morey finds some depth in FA and possible lesser trades, and we have a championship level, balanced roster. Done.

Don’t know lol we pray I guess. Surely Harris/Hill etc off the books is enough I dunno.

4th quarter ball Harris can’t be asked for the bookend. Neither can Embiid alone. Not his fault his game isn’t suited to that.
It’s addition by subtraction with Harris.
You know he’s getting paid top 15 money in the comp? Net negative no matter what Harris does because he can’t play any better then he has. Mid season he should have been gone but Morey literally can’t clean up every mess in one year.
Ben’s actual contract is top 30 which is neutral at minimum and a positive when placed in an environment for uptick (solo or aviable backcourt same with Embiid).
CJ has a big uptick when Lillard is out and is just a better fit in the end it’s kind of a no brainer the swap between the two.

These are Tobias and CJs stats in the 4th quarter this season:

In the playoffs, Tobias was worse, but they were both bad. You can kind of squint your eyes and say yeah, CJ’s got a game that would have helped us in those Atlanta situations, but the empirical evidence is he peaked in the playoffs 4-5 years ago, and has been trending downward.
Whether a player is on a top 15 or top 30 contract is relevant from a long term asset mgmt perspective, but is basically irrelevant to the question of how does this team improve during the next couple of years of Embiid’s window. Almost any player we get back from Harris will be on an equal or worse contract, because we are paying for experience right now, vs potential.
Bottom line, if CJ was such a sure upgrade, Portland fans wouldn’t be so ready to part with him.

What’s the one glaring metric between us and other playoff teams? 3pa

If Morey trades Simmons, it’s to make us better the day he completed the trade.
