Can't say the same about a 6' combo guard w/o a significantly longer wingspan and/or +instincts on that end.
Sexton is 6'2" with a 6'6.5" wingspan. That's a pretty good measurement ratio.

I think CLE would have to pay a much higher price to get Loves 60 MM over 2 years off there books.
Say if that deal also includes us taking Love and it's Obi, Knox, first for Sexton, Love. Would you do that one?
I would probably would pass on taking love because a Sexton/Randle/RJ core for the next two years an then you have to eventually pay Sexton and Randle. That doesn't get you where you need to go.
With Colin Sexton and Randle cap holds the following year combining about 40 MM....you probably could still sign a max player or close to it then go over the cap to sign Sexton and Randle. Noah money is finally off the books to clear another 6 MM so if I'm doing the math
Sexton cap hold
Randle cap hold
RJ team option
IQ probably would be the only long term pieces on the roster. You could fit another max with that group. That is the only way I would do it.

Ye but thats not your final roster..
Going into 2022 would be looking like this..
RJ
Quickley
#19
Randle (caphold)
Sexton (caphold)
Mitch (caphold)
with about $42mil in cap space.
Could add a max level player or two 20mil guys.. If Sexton/RJ take a leap and Randle keeps it up, you have something cooking
Keep building what? Sexton is 22, Obi is about to be 24. Sexton played on an awful Cavs team, and his new team will be under Thibs and Randle. He’ll be 10x better with the Knicks.F N 11 wrote:Sexton, Randle, and RJ taking us where?? Keep Obi keep building. Sorry, not sorry.

According to his NBA profile he's 6'1'', but that's not the point I wanna argue. His ratio is good, you're right. But we're still talking about an undersized guard with an average wingspan. Measurements like that put a certain ceiling on a player.

correct that is why I'm interested in the deal without Love. With Love its less interesting because we would basically have no cap space for another max.
