The same people who don't want a 22 year old improving player to succeed under Thibs are the same people who were questioning RJ Barrett's upside. Pitiful. Seriously since the day we had chance to trade for Curry and Westbrook in draft this fanbase has been stuck on holding there nickle pennies and dimes and then overate there own players like RJ the next Kobe or IQ the next Dame ridiculous.

I wasn't in on him until I saw the proposed deal. Obi being stuck behind randle makes this feel like a gamble worth taking. Not gonna pretend like i've watched sexton much, but he seems like a good fit with randle and RJ as this team desperately needs more shot creation/playmaking. I like that he's pretty efficient as a 3 level scorer and his 3PT shooting isn't just carrying him.

But yeah, i'd have to watch more of him to really form a full opinion. Just seems like a lot of the negative talk is perceived generalizations as opposed to some real scouting on the kid. We'll see what happens.

I'll never get over this blown opportunity in the 2017-18 season / 2018 draft. Knox is pretty much this generation's Jordan Hill pick.

I don’t want sexton at all, I certainly don’t want to give up any assets and I sure as h.ell don’t want to do all of that just to extend him. I know the knicks have been desperate to upgrade the point guard position..but sexton isn’t the answer, need a point guard that will make his teammates better which he hasn’t shown the ability to do, able to defend, which he hasn’t been able to do. I’d much rather sign Lowry on a short term deal to play the CP 3 role as a leader, shooter, defender

Sexton will make his teammates better just by always being a consistent threat in the floor. Defenses will have to stay honest and if he’s hot and they double he has weapons like RJ and Randle to help

This is not 2003 where you need Kidd Nash Calderon Ford CP3 type PGs. PGs job is to break down defense so guys like Gallo and Collins don't get called elite defenders for shutting down Randle.
