Obviously Dallas could desperately use a player like Noel defensively. Nets, Hornets, and Raptors also said to have interest. All logical though I'd be surprised if the Nets could bid competitively since they can't even do a S&T for him so they are capped at the taxpayer.
Other than Cuban, is anyone leftover in Dallas from that Noel era?
The other 2 main guys of the front office still are with Grant and Finley though Grant would have been unlikely to have been involved with Noel and Finley probably not either at the time. And pretty sure Noel changed agents after that But when $70M goes poof I'd think it might leave a sour taste with regards to the governor too especially as Cuban has publicly stated a few times Dallas really dodged a bullet there.
But yeah if the issues were more Donnie or Rick and you can't ever rule out Rick having a personality conflict with a guy then maybe its all water under the bridge. I was super excited when Dallas traded for him, but much like Rondo and Richardson two other acquisitions I loved at the time, it was pretty much a bust.
Would gladly welcome him back. The defense could use him and he works as a screener/lob threat for sure.
