Semi did what he was told of him because he didn’t have the capacity to do anything else. Couldn’t pass, put the ball on the floor…hell, he played 950 minutes last year without a solitary block.

We were considered one of the top teams in the east going into last season and we were giving a guy like Semi consistent minutes when most teams wouldn’t play him any minutes at all. A guy like Nesmith was infinitely more productive on the court and it would have been nice to let him take his lumps earlier on so he could have been trusted with a bigger role as the season progressed. Nesmith was a lottery talent. If you refuse to develop guys like that, something is wrong in the process.

I didn't confuse anything. I had a clear stance on Ojeleye for all four of his years here. He's gone now, so not worth fighting over it anymore.

I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’m the most optimistic guy you will ever meet on the young players. I want them to succeed more than anything, and it goes double for the more unheralded ones. But a point is reached where there’s nothing left to unlock and said player can become a millstone on a roster and you’re left with a puzzle piece that clearly doesn’t fit in anywhere. At that point, you just cut ties and wish him well. On to the next one.

Good luck to him. Seems like a great dude, unfortunately not very good at basketball. I think he'd make a better NFL player.

Grats Semi, you took a lot of undeserved criticism for a second round pick that played serviceable defense and shot the 3 at a reasonable rate. Great work ethic, no drama end of the bench guy who played a larger role than was merited due to roster shuffling and injuries. I hope you make Giannis miserable in practice.

If not for nothing, I always appreciated the work he put in the weight room. Maybe he was lacking some natural gifts to be a needle mover at the upper echelon of talent in the game of basketball as a whole, his dedication in the gym told me that he actually gave a flying crap to be the best version of himself and hopefully that rubbed off on others.

We've had enough tubby tub tubs drafted over the years (Sullinger, Yabs, Grant, etc), it was refreshing to see.

Farewell, Semi. Always thought you were a year away, tbh.

Good luck Semi! May MIL have all the weights your heart desires and may you leave your feet to contest a shot one day.

Strange that he did not evolve more with his athletic profile and commitment to the weight room. Good luck to him

Eh, seriously. You see some of his early Duke tapes and it’s impressive. Literally never happened in the NBA.

I can see a scenerio where he is ≥ than Tucker was in the Tucker role. You know giving a role player a role might actually work.
I apologize for the things I have said in the past.

My apologies in advance for this.

He left me semi interested. He was built like a semi truck. He played mostly like a semi- pro. He had a reputation as a leaper. But his play usually left me semi-conscious. His good games were at best semi monthly. Heard he was a great teammate, though. Guess my comments about him are only semi-civilized.
I like to consider myself semi intelligent. Probably, debatable.
