We’re over the cap now and won’t have any cap space for the next 2-3 years, it would have been nice to sign some free talent.

But it wouldn't have been free talent. It would have been someone like Holmes and maybe another fringe player instead of picking up Precious. Everything has an opportunity cost.

Cuz he's going to get squeezed out methinks. Dekker is a solid shooter and will be needed on that 2nd unit. With Achiuwa, Boucher's play is less needed.

I don’t think you realize how bad Dekker is. He’s a career 28% shooter from 3 and 60% FT in his 4 years in the NBA. How is he better than Boucher at shooting?

Dekker had one good shooting season in Europe and he's a career 28% in the NBA. We need to see if his most recent season is actual improvement or not.

End of the day I doubt he makes it past training camp.

In today's NBA guys like Precious are being drafted earlier. It's also a very good sign that a team like the Heat drafted him and that the Raptors were interested enough in him to trade for him. The Heat and Raptors are arguably the two best drafting teams in the league. At least over the past few years.
