This, low "basketball IQ" player with low skills are out of the league.

Then you have low "basketball IQ" players with good skills like McGee, Josh Smith, JR Smith building long careers as solid staters. And of course there are scrubino role players like Chriss, Stanley Johnson who are too good to not be in the league, etc.

Furthermore, some of dumber players are even borderline stars (and MVP) like Wiggins, Ayton, Rose.

For me it’s Drummond

He a rim running big with terrible hands and no touch at the rim but he plays with the same amount of agency over the determination of a game that Jokic, Embiid, Harden, Durant, LeBron etc do.

Like you are the least skilled player but most physically talented guy on the court. Stay in your ducking lane and play your role and you are a $100M man easily, but he can’t.

And yes I think he genuinely believes he’s a top 15-20 player

I don't want to hate on any 1 player, so here's a compilation with the usual suspects... and some you wouldn't expect.

Enjoy.

Javale "rat tail" Mcgee. Dude was making Shaqtin da Fool so much and getting ragged on, that he need his mama to save his ass from further humiliation. Embarrassing that this man was on the Olympic team.

Maybe it’s not IQ but is eq or self awareness....but I just want to put draymond

Naming one of the smartest players in this league as a possible answer in this thread says more about your bball IQ then his. He’s a winner and that has been proven countless times. This is especially funny because you spent all day yesterday defending Westbrook, who actually has a poor bball IQ thar lags well behind his talent level.

Draymond is probably heading to the hall of fame too, so maybe, just maybe, a player with 3 allstar games, 2 All-NBA teams, 2 Olympic Gold medals, 3 titles and a DPOY trophy was/is a star? Isn’t that how this works? Call me crazy.

As a Raptor fan, I can confirm this wasn’t an isolated incident with Andrea either. He was pretty much clueless, among several other issues that negated his natural talent.

I laugh when people bring him up as an example of a former player who would be a star in today’s league. No chance.

there are probably plenty of jr's in today's game.

it's just that,,,,,,you can't tell the diff anymore

i think shooting a 3 when you only need the higher percentage 1pt or 2pt is pretty stupid and that's done ALL the time

That player that got blocked by harden and then tried to hit the ball out of bounds off of him with time remaining on the clock was by far the Dumbest play I have seen..

If Lebron was half the leader people think he is there's no way he'd let this stoner not know the score going into this possession.

Compound that with his literal crying and finger pointing as red marks on his leadership resume.

While the actual GOAT knew how to reach and motivate a guy who regularly skipped practices and would go to Vegas and return the day of games.

Look at the GOAT talking to the greatest rebounder in NBA history like an owner reprimanding his puppy, pure alpha. "Do NOT **** this last possession up, Dennis"

How the heck do you turn a thread about the dumbest ball player into a MJ vs Lebron comparison. Truly MJ stans are on another levle even above LBJ fanboys. Yikes.

Yup. The worst fans in sports by far.

Though I feel Rashad McCants deserves a mention, at the end of the day, Shabazz Muhammad has my vote. 15 fga/36, 1 ast/36, 0 defense. Heck, the man shoots a worse 3pt% than Ricky Rubio, yet shoots 3x more 3pt than assists. I’ve seen 2nd graders with higher bball IQs than him.

Ayton’s bball IQ has improved 10 fold so I wouldn’t stick him in here anymore. Mitchell Robinson might fit better although he’s not quite a borderline star.
