So... they're not really similar and Kawhi didn't sit out like this. He had a diagnosis from a doctor, just not the Spurs doctor. Simmons does not.
Oh, sure, the situation is different in the sense that Simmons has not claimed to be injured (yet). That may be coming. More likely this is going to be analogous to the Harden situation, which Morey also tried to call his bluff on. The dude will just come in and dog it.
That's a possibility as I stated earlier. Though Morey wasn't in Houston when Harden was traded either. TBH I still don't think the Sixers are terribly pressured any more than they were a day ago. Morey's good at what he does.
