Ross, Beverly, McDaniels and T'Wolves picks + swaps to Philly
Prince to Orlando
Philly gets below the luxury tax and lands some vets until a bigger follow up deal
Beverly is no longer a nba starting pg. clearly on the decline. Sixers already had the corpse formerly known as George hill
Beverly is best at 10-15 minutes a game off the bench.
Who do you think is the best fitting realistically available PG right now? Besides Dragic, I'm not sure what's out there, but you could turn Beverly and one of the picks or Maxey into a better player/fit.
Their biggest mistake down the stretch of those hawks games was playing Ben at the point. They won games 2/6 because of Milton and Maxey in the fourth quarter.
It’s a blow to Ben ego. But both Milton and Maxey are probably only players on Sixers outside of Embiid who can create their own offense. Now Maxey is wild. He blown by a defender than get blocked at the rim by Collins or capela in the series. But especially in game 6 when Simmons was in foul trouble. Maxey created so much pressure on hawks. They left 3 point shooters wide open for Sixers to come back. That also lead to easy layups as well. Just watch the game tape of game 6.
Milton was in the game 4th quarter as Sixers retook the lead. Than of course Ben came back and that ruin then offensive game flow.
So Embiid doesn’t need much. He just needs a capable point guard who can create some pressure in the half court. That’s not asking for much. Obviously Milton is limited in his speed/athletic ability. Maxey is not a good shooter.
But the easy solution would be to start Maxey at the point. Play him 25 minutes. Sixers have nothing to lose. If Ben wants to no show. Just let him sit. See what Maxey has.
All these trades proposed. They are all players available up to trade deadline.
I personally wouldn’t trade for Dame as everyone suggested. With Embiid injury history. Not a good idea to give up the farm. But they are better off going after fox or sexton. Sexton is the better shooter but fox is more Dynamic in terms of speed breaking down a defense. But Sacramento doesn’t want to give up fox. Maybe that changes as Sacramento is bad again.
Cleveland is tougher since they got to move salary to make sexton plus picks plus Cleveland salary (no one wants Kevin love salary).
