If he refuses to report and they sit him for the start of the season, what's that going to do for team morale? I also don't understand how you can look at this situation and conclude their a top team in the east. If anything, it seems like this situation will not end with Philly winning 50 games
Even without him you still have a top 10 player Embiid, who is the most dominant inside player in the world right now. Plus a borderline all star Tobias Harris. Young talent like Maxey and Thybulle. Good role players like Green, Curry, Korkmaz, etc.
They've got Drummond which could turn out really good or really bad, lol
With no Simmons, we're probably slightly better than them. With Simmons, they're probably slightly better than us.
But yeah I mean, the whole situation not only with Simmons but with all of those front office people getting fired, it's a weird situation there, Doc even though he's only been there for a year you have to think he's kind of on the hot seat after losing game 7 on your home court to the 5 seed when your team is the 1 seed (after blowing a 3 games to 1 lead the year before when he was coaching the clippers)..their team could be pretty distracted by all of the off court BS
