LOL, where is the rest of the conference? I want to see the number of projected losses equal the number of wins, unless they think the EC is going to beat up on the WC this year.

Sticking with a 3rd seed. No way Atlanta or Philly get more wins than us, especially Atlanta. We're much deeper, more talented and better balanced than last season. Hope Ime sets a high bar and expectations.

With Tatum and Brown technically still developing theres going to be some uncertainty. I think the TEAM is better around them, but it will take yet another step forward from both of them to get us in the top 4. I think Atl is well built and will be our bigggest battle for the 4/5 spot.

I don't understand how anyone can have a prediction on Philly. Are they going to trade Simmons, if so for what? If he refuses to report and they sit him for the start of the season, what's that going to do for team morale? I also don't understand how you can look at this situation and conclude their a top team in the east. If anything, it seems like this situation will not end with Philly winning 50 games

Even without him you still have a top 10 player Embiid, who is the most dominant inside player in the world right now. Plus a borderline all star Tobias Harris. Young talent like Maxey and Thybulle. Good role players like Green, Curry, Korkmaz, etc.

They've got Drummond which could turn out really good or really bad, lol

With no Simmons, we're probably slightly better than them. With Simmons, they're probably slightly better than us.

But yeah I mean, the whole situation not only with Simmons but with all of those front office people getting fired, it's a weird situation there, Doc even though he's only been there for a year you have to think he's kind of on the hot seat after losing game 7 on your home court to the 5 seed when your team is the 1 seed (after blowing a 3 games to 1 lead the year before when he was coaching the clippers)..their team could be pretty distracted by all of the off court BS

All 3 of ATL, MIA and PHI have an argument over us, but I highly doubt all 3 of them will be better.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Espn Lol. That’s a bit low. I have them around 48-52 wins.
It all depends on how they start the season. We have a more balanced roster with depth. Should be better than last season.

The Sixers worry me a lot less. Embiid improved a lot. Now the league knows that and will try hard to adapt.

And when Thibs turns a team around in his first year as a coach, I don't necessarily project further upside from there ...

How will this affect Trae's game in your opinion?

Obviously, it's hard to predict what referees will really do, especially when a rule change is ostensibly designed to disadvantage exactly the guys to whom the refs give star treatment.

Best guess is that Trae adapts fairly well. His game is still changing pretty rapidly, and hunting off-balance opportunities has to be a bit distracting for anybody other than Kyrie.

They won't call a thing, and flopping will get even more out of control. The league does not really want to stop it.

It will be like palming. They'll call it once in the preseason on some poor rookie and never call it again.

Tough to tell where we rank but I've had them at the 5 seed and 48-49 wins since we got Dennis

I have said the Celtics are a 4-6 seed. Sticking to that as of the start of training camp. We will see.

I have us in the 3-5 range. With relatively good health, good shooting seasons from the Smart/Schroeder/Richardson trio, contributions from a few young guys, and expected improvements from Tatum/Brown, we’re dangerous quasi-contenders, e.g. on the same tier as last years Finals participants.

I kinda feel like the two ECF teams that took steps back after the bubble (Miami and Boston) will take big steps forward this season.

Brooklyn
Milwaukee
Boston
Miami
Philly
Atlanta
NY
Chicago

Is how I see it right now, as our best case.
