Would things be different in DC? I'm not sure what DC's rules currently are, and they could always change during the season. And even if he cold play at home, he'd still be missing road games in certain places. And that's on top of the typical stuff Kyrie brings.
At least with Westbrook we were able to move a longer term contract and he always gives the team 100%. Neither would be true in a Kyrie deal. Hard pass for me.
Not according to what Dat and others have said. NY doesn't have a say about forbidding players from playing in NY, so at least for the rules as they are now, if he were traded to Washington, he'd be able to play in all of their games. Edit - pardon, I see Doc's already answered that.
Personally, I'm not a Kyrie fan, and I think he's a nut, but no doubting he's a great talent.
