I think that Shamet will start at SG.

Thought to myself, they can't possibly start Bagley, can they? Then I looked at their roster. Yeesh. Is Barnes their backup 4? They got Holmes, Len, Tristan, Damian Jones, Metu, Queta, Terry on that roster. Good-ness that's a lot of guys who can't stretch the floor.

I guess they could go with Harkless as a Bagley replacement, but man, those are not a lot of options. Barnes and Harkless are their only small forwards, unless a guy like Louis King proves to be an NBA player. You can't slide Terence Davis or Hield to the 3. What a terrible roster:

Fox/Halliburton/Mitchell
Hield/Davis/Ramsey
Barnes/Harkless/King
Bagley... Terry/Woodard
Holmes/Len/Thompson/Jones/Metu

Now that's what I call a TANK.

Barnes is pretty good. 16/6.6/3.5, over 39% from 3. Better than Cam right now.

Funny thing is, if they traded one of their young bench PGs and one of their experienced bigs they could get a good wing in theory and this team could look a lot better. Now I dunno who that is, but it's not impossible. Thompson and Halliburton or Mitchell (and maybe a pick) should be able to get something really nice if you play your cards right.

Like summer league, it sucks we don’t have many young guys to watch in these preseason games. Jalen Smith is basically it and I hope he plays well enough to leapfrog Kaminsky on the depth chart.

I’ll be interested to watch the debuts of the new guys in Shamet, McGee, Hutchinson and Payton to see how they fit in.

Other than that, just stay healthy please.

Excited to get a first look at whether Ayton will take a bigger role on offense, what kind of improvement we'll see from Bridges, what Stix's role will be, and how the new guys fit.

Also excited to see the Kings. Big fan of Fox and Haliburton, loved Holmes when he was here, and this is a make or break year for Bagley. Don't have high expectations for them this year though.

Super keen! Lowkey happy that Booker is sitting this one out so we're going to see more of the other guys.

Not if you want to get any rebounds, that lineup is tiny, undersized at every position other than pg

They can shoot lights out. Holmes is a solid rebounder and Barnes is pretty good. It's not that hard to get defensive rebounds usually anyway.

I wouldn't play it all the time, and if Bagley can ever learn how to defend and hit the 3 at a little better rate (though he was fairly respectable at 34.3%), then I think they mostly go with him at PF and Barnes at SG.

But they also have Tristan Thompson who is a good rebounder, Alex Len, Chimezie Metu and Neemias Queta.

Didn't realize preseason started last night... holy hell that went by fast. Also had no idea Milsap went to the Nets and Jordan to the Lakers.

Excited to see the team again. Hopefully it washes the bitter taste of losing a 2 game lead in the Finals out of my mouth :(

That team is still hot garbage, poorly constructed, and we will disagree on the shooting the lights out.

Well, maybe not lights out, but maybe similar to us. They had 4 big minutes guys over 39% from 3, including their two biggest minute guys in Hield and Barnes, and then also Haliburton and Delon Wright.

We had 3....Payne, Bridges and Paul. Crowder was pretty close but everyone else was under 35%.
