They got Holmes, Len, Tristan, Damian Jones, Metu, Queta, Terry on that roster. Good-ness that's a lot of guys who can't stretch the floor.
I guess they could go with Harkless as a Bagley replacement, but man, those are not a lot of options. Barnes and Harkless are their only small forwards, unless a guy like Louis King proves to be an NBA player. You can't slide Terence Davis or Hield to the 3. What a terrible roster:
Fox/Halliburton/Mitchell
Hield/Davis/Ramsey
Barnes/Harkless/King
Bagley... Terry/Woodard
Holmes/Len/Thompson/Jones/Metu
Now that's what I call a TANK.
I'd start Fox/Haliburton/Hield/Barnes/Holmes
Barnes is pretty good. 16/6.6/3.5, over 39% from 3. Better than Cam right now.
Not if you want to get any rebounds, that lineup is tiny, undersized at every position other than pg
They can shoot lights out. Holmes is a solid rebounder and Barnes is pretty good. It's not that hard to get defensive rebounds usually anyway.
I wouldn't play it all the time, and if Bagley can ever learn how to defend and hit the 3 at a little better rate (though he was fairly respectable at 34.3%), then I think they mostly go with him at PF and Barnes at SG.
But they also have Tristan Thompson who is a good rebounder, Alex Len, Chimezie Metu and Neemias Queta.
