Thats debatable.
Everyone is walking into this expecting him to be booed. It's not news nor is it change the calculation in any way. Now if there is an incident beyond that maybe it becomes more of a story but just booing isn't a huge deal sorry.
That’s not reality as it will confirm to other GMs that the situation is untenable and the price will only go south from there
Anthony Davis was heavily booed be the home crowd after he asked for a trade and had to stay with team until the offseason.
He ended up getting a better deal for Pels in the offseason and he only cited one team he'd be keen on.
Pelicans ended up shutting down Davis the rest of the season. And he had one season left with opt out
So different situation
The trade lakers proposed mid season was essentially the same offer pelicans got in the off season
The only thing thing that changed that made the pelicans trade was rigged
1. Pelicans got overall 1 in the lottery
2. Lakers pick jumped to overall number 4
The it wasn’t necessarily a better deal. If you google trade “rumors” lakers offered ball,Ingram, hart and couple of first round picks
Essentially same trade the pelicans got in the summer.
Only difference was the actual draft slots were known which made it a lot easier for Davis to be traded.
