Especially against a team like Milwaukee who has a really solid identity. I'm sure everyone will kill Nash immediately even though there are some real legit tough decisions to make with LMA, Claxton, Blake, Millsap, and Bruce Brown.
All I want to see is how we try to guard Giannis. Last year Blake was our only real option and he was up and down. Millsap + James Johnson are new options. Claxton hasn't had any luck but I'd love to see more of it. We also have some stronger defenders to help.
I dont think you can kill a coach on rotations day 1 unless their is an obvious horrendous move. and as much as i think claxton HAS to play, its not like we have prime shaq sitting on the bench. Same with W/L the first week or two. outside of the playoffs, teams play with more intensity and are more hot cold this next 4-6 games then any time during the year.
And despite year 2 of the big 3, still alot of new faces am chemistry. If 2 weeks in Claxton is still glued to the bench without some kind of LMA/Milsap/Johsnon great player or 5-1 start (dont fix what aint broke) id probably start chirping but as of now see how things look. One look i would like to see is KD/Milsap at the 3/4 instead of KD/Brown. But again, like you said alot to sort out.
Nash has alot to prove outside rotations. he was inarguably the worst X's and O's coach in the league. maybe some of that was D'antoni. Hopefully it was. We konw enough by now that you need to put brook in the pick and roll and make middleton a driver not a pull up shooter. things like that cant be ignored.
stay healthy, get a win. in that order
