DFS is different. I agree that the 20% of league average would be more money than he’ll get on the market. Here’s essentially no cap space, and the MLE would be less than that elsewhere. But that leads me to believe that Dallas likely isn’t offering that, if they’re offering extensions at all, to him or others.
Yeah I would agree Jalen should probably test the market. But I selfishly want to keep him so....
But yeah maybe Dallas isn't trying to extend Dorian, but I honestly can't think of any reason not to. They know who he is. He's clearly still a player they value as he's starting and playing good minutes. And they aren't projected to have cap space regardless and even on a 3/$40M deal he'd still be movable because of his player type.
I sure hope they aren't lowballing him after getting him on such a bargain deal this past time. They need to do right by him imo.
