Just Kuz
Mods, feel free to merge if a Kuzma Appreciation thread already exists, but I didn't see one, which is makes me sad because Kuz is more than just "meh" trade-filler and it's very mean that EVERYONE thought that about him, when I've been saying all along that he's probably not as bad as he seems. Anyway, let this be a shrine to all things Kuz.
I'll start by saying that his face-up game reminds me a lot of Caron Butler, which I love.

Currently tied with Giannis at 6th in the league in rebounding.

That's in total rebounds I believe -- which has something to do with how many minutes a guy is playing.
All the same, he's certainly rebounding great! He's getting 72% more rebounds per 40 minutes than he did last year. Wow! &, yes, his defensive rebounding is especially impressive.
But his 2pt%, 3pt% & (especially!) FT% are all off. That's something to watch. If those come back to last year's levels, it will help a whole lot!
Even with those scoring problems, Kuz's current numbers place his overall productivity at a career high.

Re: Just Kuz
Kuzma has been solid as a secondary shot creator & great on the boards. His effort & length on defense have been good as well. If he can keep the board work up... I see no reason why he shouldn't remain the starting PF.

Re: Just Kuz
Agreed. Surprised by his effort and switch-ability on defense and the rebounding.
Expected the secondary shot creation.

I agree totally! Hey, we are 5-1 -- not the usual time to make lineup changes.
At the same time, that 5-1 record includes 2 overtime victories, one of which took 2 OTs. So we should probably not get ahead of ourselves in thinking about a 10-2 record. Or 20-4. Or....
Let's see... what does 5-1 extend to on the whole season? 68 wins? I like it!

Re: The Official Kyle Kuzma Thread
Had to dig deep to find this thread. But let's show some love for Kuz. He was good in the Bucks game and even better tonight.
Beginning to look like being on a new team, with a new coach and a new role is just what the doctor ordered for Kuz's career.

2 stats stick out as being easily the best of Kuz' career: 9.9 rebounds per 36 minutes and 38.9% from 3. We need him to keep them up.

Again, Kuz’s emergence reminds me of the year that a previously inconsistent Ariza had his breakout season with us. We kept waiting for him to regress, but he never did.
Fingers crossed Kyle is on a similar trajectory. A 6’10 guy who can guard multiple positions and shoot a bit? I’d have that guy on my team any day… especially if he can be the third or fourth option.
In Rizzo we trust

Two 3s in the last 30 seconds to win by 1 was pretty epic.

Thanks for posting this, DCZ!
This is exciting and a lot of fun. Hyping Kuzma and praising Beal (and rightly so!).
