It's funny to see who just pays attention to whether shots go in, and ignore everything else that Julius is doing even better than last season.

Will also be fun to see how these folks respond when the shots start going in like they should

I wouldn't necessarily say he's doing many things better than last year

His passing and defense (mostly effort) seem to be pretty hit or miss this year. When he's on, he's a great defender and keeps the ball moving on offense, when he's off, he's extremely lazy on defense and he's taking contested pull ups or fades out of the post instead of passing around for a better shot

Sometimes it looks like he's reverted back to 2019 Randle out there. You could also see his tendency to try and match the guy he's guarding if they're going off, like the other night against Toronto, he's trying to duel OG instead of picking his spots and letting the team play

I'm not worried yet cause we do have a whole season of him being great for us, but I am getting a bit concerned when watching him play. I don't think it's an ego thing, I think he's trying to adjust to a system which doesn't need him to be at 100% every night to win. He's still the star, but we're more of an ensemble cast than a 1 man show.

no, not at all — that’s now what they were saying

they’re saying randle has to adjust and he’s not ready yet. but they can definitely both share the majority of shots, they have to find a balance.

rj is an alpha male, that’s why he’s good

Normally I would think internal competition is good for a team. But Randle doesn't seem to handle it well, nor does IQ....If Rj continues to improve, do he and Randle really fit together? Does Randle fit better than say (a healthy :D ) Zion?

Yup you saw it with IQ in summer league. He was being outplayed by Deuce and whenever they were on the court together, IQ barely looked to pass it to him. I saw some of this last year when Randle wouldn’t look for Barrett early on. Instead it would be Payton and Randle looking out for each other. This year, Randle looks for Fournier instead of Barrett. You’ll see this again tonight if you closely pay attention to it.

You ever been betrayed by a friend? It’s usually because you ignore the signs because you want to believe they have your best interest. Randle gotta show me first, sorry.

Yep and it’s not even about missing shots!!!!!

It’s about how he carries himself as a so called leader!!!!!

I can live with missed shots but when you don’t give effort/act like a **** teammate as the “leader of the team” he should be called out for it!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly, I just call it how I see it. RJ got dragged but Randle can’t? I just want to see improvement.

Obi can’t be pulled for playing dumb yet Randle is allowed to do whatever he wants. We need him to play within the team system. Not saying he can’t go iso, but ISO 5 straight possessions and bringing the ball up when the team is thriving by moving the ball is not cool. Also try boxing out and making some hustle plays. Don’t let your man always get open shots.

Hope he gets it together

We have more offensive weapons, Randle had 83 touches per game last year, this year he's at 77 per game, it's a joke that he handles the ball this much. And of course, RJ has fallen to 5th on our team in touches per game, he's seeing the ball even less this year than last year (39 touches per game this year, 47 last year) How anyone can be okay with this, or not want Randle to take a step back in our offense is just beyond me, RJ touches the ball half as much as Randle.

Anyone with working eyes can see that when RJ handles the ball the offense doesn't just bog down, he passes it more freely and keeps the offense going where as Randle's iso literally just kill our flow.
