It's funny to see who just pays attention to whether shots go in, and ignore everything else that Julius is doing even better than last season.
Will also be fun to see how these folks respond when the shots start going in like they should

So is Randle getting aggravated that RJ is becoming the #1 option, and Randle has to take a backseat?
no, not at all — that’s now what they were saying
they’re saying randle has to adjust and he’s not ready yet. but they can definitely both share the majority of shots, they have to find a balance.
rj is an alpha male, that’s why he’s good
Normally I would think internal competition is good for a team. But Randle doesn't seem to handle it well, nor does IQ....If Rj continues to improve, do he and Randle really fit together? Does Randle fit better than say (a healthy) Zion?

Yup you saw it with IQ in summer league. He was being outplayed by Deuce and whenever they were on the court together, IQ barely looked to pass it to him. I saw some of this last year when Randle wouldn’t look for Barrett early on. Instead it would be Payton and Randle looking out for each other. This year, Randle looks for Fournier instead of Barrett. You’ll see this again tonight if you closely pay attention to it.

You’re just mad bc Duke is my BFF now and has promised to take me to a Knicks game at The Mecca with primo seat location.

You ever been betrayed by a friend? It’s usually because you ignore the signs because you want to believe they have your best interest. Randle gotta show me first, sorry.
Yep and it’s not even about missing shots!!!!!
It’s about how he carries himself as a so called leader!!!!!
I can live with missed shots but when you don’t give effort/act like a **** teammate as the “leader of the team” he should be called out for it!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't necessarily say he's doing many things better than last year
His passing and defense (mostly effort) seem to be pretty hit or miss this year. When he's on, he's a great defender and keeps the ball moving on offense, when he's off, he's extremely lazy on defense and he's taking contested pull ups or fades out of the post instead of passing around for a better shot
Sometimes it looks like he's reverted back to 2019 Randle out there. You could also see his tendency to try and match the guy he's guarding if they're going off, like the other night against Toronto, he's trying to duel OG instead of picking his spots and letting the team play
I'm not worried yet cause we do have a whole season of him being great for us, but I am getting a bit concerned when watching him play. I don't think it's an ego thing, I think he's trying to adjust to a system which doesn't need him to be at 100% every night to win. He's still the star, but we're more of an ensemble cast than a 1 man show.
