Turning your back to deescalate a situation right after you just committed a cheap shot is pretty pitiful. If anything that makes it much worse.
Plus it's imputing motives to make the point. Chuck's point about the apparent bloodlust here stands without it, even as I see it less of people condoning Jokic's actual act in itself (he felt bad afterwards; did Morris?) so much as catharsis in Morris getting his comeuppance.
If I was a Nuggets fan, I’d actually be a little aggravated. Not because he wasn’t justified to defend himself, but because he’s gone miss multiple games and you need all the W’s you can get.
As a non-affiliated observer, it was insanely satisfying. I mean, I had this dude on my team for 70 games or so. I saw all the chickensh*t stuff he does up close. Not even stuff you could respect. Cheap fouls, loose elbows, etc etc.
He’s not in the same ballpark, but back in the day I used to despise Bill Laimbeer too. (As opposed to, say, Ben Wallace who was generally tough but fair.) I just can’t stand that type of basketball going back many, many years now.
