At some point this organization has to make a Choice. Are you developing Scottie into a role player or your main piece? Because og siakam and fvv and Trent all the same team, too many cooks in the kitchen trying to be the man.

Having numerous cooks (who can play about .500 ball) when a rookie is in game 17 of his career, or even most of his first year, is absolutely fine It says nothing about where you expect him to be in his prime.

Rushing a player who is not a great ball shooter / handler (yet), into a high usage role that he is not ready for is something perenially bad teams do to players that tend not to develop.

Does his role need to be tweaked to get shots at other spots. Sure. But forcing high usage on to him makes zero sense in my view.

That logic doesn’t make sense. Perennially bad teams have to do that because they have no other talent. And that’s why they’re bad.

This team isn’t lackin talent. It’s misusing the talent it has. Scottie has the best playmaking potential on this team and eventually that is his projected role. It makes more sense to try to develop it ASAP instead of using him as a screen setter and rebounder. What good does that do him or the team? Doesn’t it make more sense to get his reps in… and going forward the team will be better for it. Again it doesn’t have to be all the time. B it he should be used like draymond. Use him at the top of the key or in a post up and set screens for fvv or Trent where he can find them. These are set plays.

Really just a make or miss league sometimes. The D looks a lot better when the other team is missing their jumpers.

We're clearly running more aggressively and faster at close outs than games past. Yes Sac has missed a few open looks but so have we.
