I'm not a DLO fan but the wolves arent taking on Love.

Hornets get a different look at C with Reid while letting Washington get more time at pf. Prince is filler.
Wolves get a combo forward in the Jae Crowder mould and a young big (negotiable which one) to balance the rosters. If they feel they need a better backup C I'm sure WCS from the Mavs could be had for little.

Personally I'd be happy to move Kuzma who has been a good rebounder and surprising starter on the Wiz for the expiring contract of Pat Beverly when either Bryant or Hachimura returns. Many Washington fans love him but I want to see Harrell playing some 4 as well as 5.

Don't see the Wolves wanting to move Bev. He's been great for the culture and locker room. Also would create another hole.

I geared this thread towards back up, rotation players, because I think that is a small tweak that MIN could realistically make this early in the season. Most back up players wouldn’t warrant 1sts, but might make sense in a trade for another back up/ rotation piece that is a better fit, and maybe a 2nd. MIN’s pieces that would likely be available would be Layman, Nowell, McLaughlin, Okogie, Prince, Vanderbilt, Bolmaro, Beasley and Naz Reid, and that order is roughly my opinion of MIN’s attachment, though not their value.

As jscott said earlier in this thread, trading a Vanderbilt or Reid wouldn't really solve the problem unless it was a significant talent upgrade.

Was also trying to think of a bigger deal with wood going to Charlotte for a package around PJ Washington who goes to Minny for McLaughlin+ something but idk what to do for the something

I like that as well.
I believe McLaughlin and Vanderbilt are the rare January 15 pair because they signed so late.
It’s not the timing. It’s because they were resigned using Bird Rights as opposed to cap space or an exception.
