GT #19: Bullets @ Sonics 8 PM (NBCSW/980 AM) [11/26/21]

YOUR Washington Bullets are 11-7 AND 1-4 in their last five games!

The theme for this team has been what else? Careless turnovers, no offensive rhythm, no 3 point shooting, and on Thanksgiving eve, we saw no defense against the 3-16 Pelicans who DEMOLISHED Washington for their 4th win of the season.

Wes Unseld Jr. has talked accountability for the starting group. The starts have been atrocious and it is always a struggle for the Bullets to score the ball!

Our All-NBA guard still can't shoot 3s.

Our new starting PG isn't running the team well and is not being assertive. Yes, he's not a true PG, but for God's sake, run something!

On Black Friday, they face the Sonics who have had impressive Ws against the Lakers and have a cadre of young talent who play super hard. They're led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who will drop 30 on this Bullets team giving up extra possessions and run outs after missed 3s! They're coming off a loss to the Jazz at home.

I'm not too optimistic after taking an L to a Pelicans team that was struggling.. what say you?

Apart from Poku and Ty Jerome I can’t name a single Thunder starter or reserve.

Giddey Lee... err, Josh Giddey is Australian
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is Canadian

They both have the makings of varsity athletes
Bye bye Beal.

Giddey is my favorite rook from this years draft. Kid has the mind of a vet.

The Thunder is the kind of young team you don't want to give any confidence early, which doesn't bode well for a Wizards team whose starting five is struggling to produce points.

I haven't seen anything from the Wizards over the last five that they're starting to figure things out so this feels like another disappointing outing in the making.

Must win game what with the difficulty of the upcoming schedule.

Need a confidence builder for our own team.

Yep this is a trap game.

If this is a trap game, this team is clueless. I'm expecting an L here regardless.

At some point, when Gafford continues to be useless save as a rim runner on offense and you continue to get off to bad starts, it's time to start Trez.

Like how Gooden says it's all about Beal getting started early. That's not the problem Drew.

Beal is so embarrasing from 3pt. What a joke.

What happened to all his talk about how he was working on shooting long 3s like Steph? Maybe the Rona took away his 3pt shot.

It really is quite laughable at this point.

Neto seriously can't guard me right now. How is he defending SGA?

We look like a bottom-feeding lottery team right now. Beal throwing up bricks off the glass. Not contesting on D. Easy dribble penetration allowed on every f-ing set. What the hell is going on? Dinwiddie does absolutely nothing in the first half save for deferring to Beal.

No matter how good Beal is and he is good, he isn’t a super max guy.

He is a step or two below harden level guy

Right now, he's not even a max guy, but I guess it's all about past performance. To me, he looks disinterested. Almost bored. Also supposed to be one of the leaders on the team.

Flat from the start once again. Giddey two easy layups once to get them flowing early.

Gotta switch up this starting lineup.

I’d swap out Holiday for Neto as the second PG.

Just not working.

We are on free fall right now. Regressed defensively and the offense is awful. And Bradley Beal…don’t get me started…
