Tucker ain't a dollar, but they tried to replace a 50 cent piece with a couple pennies and a nickel.

Cheaping out and not feeling comfortable paying a 36yr old $7mil/year for multiple years isn't the same thing.

Far far more when you factor in the luxury tax. I was fine letting Pj go when I saw the numbers. He served his purpose.

I really don't understand why any fan would care about the numbers at this point. The cost of our core means external spending is extremely limited. This isn't the old days when hoarding cap space and absorbing bad contracts for picks was more entertaining than the stuff happening on the court. So we're just concerned for the profit margins of billionaires borrowing against a massively appreciated asset?

I think I would have gone after James Ennis before Wes. Better three point shooter and better defender at this point.

Anyway, now do Semi for Jemerrio. Keep going for smart and physical.

Kinda crazy how we’ve picked up Boogie & Wes from Free Agency, yet they are better than all the other bums we had.

Also seems like we bringing back all the useful guys from 2020.

I still can't figure out why Georgios was drafted in the first place. I guess if you ID the next poor man's Jiri Welsh you gotta jump on him.

I'll give Horst credit, he understands what Tucker gave us and is trying to figure out how to get more of it. During his time here, Wes was at his best defending ball-dominant forwards.

Glad we didn't bring back PJ!

Sad part is, Wes is easily the best out of that bunch still.

It's odd. They started the offseason like they wanted to save money but when all is said and done are going to just be paying more to fix their errors.

Georgios has been paid most of his guarantee, so they didn't really waste money with the move, and Wes get the vet minimum, with only the prorated portion of $1.6 million counts against the cap and tax. Big difference from that and a vet making slightly more than the minimum, which then counts as the full amount.

Don't forget the $300,000 buyout that the Bucks had to pay to Panathinaikos to release him.

I think mutual familiarity's playing a large but appropriate role here.

I hate to say it but are we getting news that Donte's had successful surgery tomorrow?

Come playoff time everyone would rather have 36 or 37 year old Tucker than the likes of Matthews / Semi / Hood.

Bucks are also going to end up making another move to try to fill the Lopez hole so it’s TBD how much cash our billionaire owners will ultimately end up saving too.

In fairness come playoff time I don't really want to be playing 4 versus 5 on offense again for the final 3 series so id rather none of them (PJ included) saw the court and hope that they can replicate the defensive intensity as a team while playing someone who can't be guarded by Trae Young.

I think this is where Giorgos' long term potential lies, not at guard. But he's a couple years of strength training and game experience away.

Trae Young trying to keep PJ off the glass was good for us in net.

I was useing Trae as hyperbole example. I guess my larger point is that the offense had issues last postseason die to playing 4 on 5 (yes they rebounded outstanding and that helped make up for it some) and I'm not going to dwell on letting a player go that brought those types of limitations

It's definitely ominous that we may hear something about Donte given this signing. On the other hand he's out there on the court before every game, something Brook never was. So who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think we're getting Hood news, not Donte news.

Hey right now Wes is better than George. That’s a near term win.

Now I just need Bud to lie to me and tell us Donte is progressing

It's more about what they spend their money on. Tucker at a guaranteed $14.3mil over 2 years at the age of 36 is not a good gamble.

I won't rest until we get 45 year old Thon back on the end of our bench, ready to karate kick the opposition at a moment's notice

I’m shocked we waived someone and it wasn’t semi or hood.
