Rank the order that you think Gupta would trade our players, as we continue to compete. Note: this is not value.
My order:
Layman - expiring, not getting playing time
McLaughlin - good contract, but not playing well, and Bolmaro will get his minutes
Okogie - useful and plays hard, but sometimes a DNP-CD. I don’t know if we re-sign him this summer
Nowell - potential and a good contract, but hasn’t developed much trade value
Prince - bigger matching contract, though negative. I’d rank him higher, but team seems to listen to him as a vet
Beasley - we need three point shooting. He hasn’t shot well yet, so we want him to improve to raise trade value.
Bolmaro - promising young player locked up
Naz Reid - he may be more valuable elsewhere with starter minutes, but we desperately need his size.
MIN 2022 1st, top 10 protections. No pick last year and uncertainty on our team now. Gupta analytics for scouting
Vanderbilt - heart of the defense, and his contract is great even if we trade for another big
McDaniels - tons of potential, though playing worse than last year.
Russell - great closer but poor individual season for shooting and turnovers. KAT pal. Few teams where he would fit.
Beverley - motivates the whole team. Coach 2, brings accountability others need. Loves it here.
KAT - too hard for MIN to attract superstar talent
Edwards - hoping he grows to be the face of the franchise, locked into rookie scale
Who goes up or down in your order for how much Gupta would be willing to trade him?
I agree with this list. I don't think these are equivalent to trade value tho.
