Then when it comes to Zion, him at peak shape at Duke was 270 pounds.
To get a better view of what he looked like at 270 pounds, go to 1:53 in the video for his post game interview. That is what Zion looked like at 270 pounds. Jaw line, shoulder definition, definition in his arms, how the jersey fits him and just overall body shape. Compare that to what he looked like in the Mountain Dew commercial, there was a hell of a lot more weight on him there and not good weight. So ya wouldnt be shocked if he was pushing 330 this summer.
Both guys need to take getting in shape far more serious. Luka seems to be going the Jokic route where they're using the season to get into shape and luckily they haven't really been effected injury wise from that. But just look at the difference getting in shape and staying in shape has done for Jokic. It took his game to the next level, same most likely happens with Luka.
Zion on the other hand, the extra weight has done more than just effect his level of play. It has been preventing him from playing. That is a whole other level of red flags.
Zion was closer to 260 when he reported at Duke. The whole 285 lbs narrative was created by the media drumming up hype and interest just like they're doing now. Mike said 270 lbs but he was talking out his arse hyping him up as well. He did get up to 270 due to sitting out with an injury though but that was quickly worked off. He was 260 as a rookie in the NBA and because of that people laughably claimed he lost 25 lbs to cover for their lie about him being 285 the previous season. And Luka is 6'7" in sneakers not 6'8". I seriously doubt he's 260. He looks heavier than normal, maybe 245 lbs. Why do people keep swallowing all the drama the NBA media spins out?
All of this is false. When Zion first got to Duke he weighed in at 285. By the time the season started he was down to 270, Zion himself said he was 270 pounds and this wasn't after his injury, this was at the start of the season when again, Zion himself said this.
Also the 260 pound report from the NBA wasn't his rookie year, it was after the bubble and going into his 2nd year. Also that was a dumb "gained 15 pounds of muscle" report that no one took seriously, even though Zion did lose weight from the bubble to his 2nd year no one believed he was actually 260 pounds and lighter than he was at Duke.
