On defense there's no debate. Not for Jokic.
Steph and KD are ahead because of team record. That's reality.

Jokic has been dominant and I could not disagree with the poster you quoted more, but as has been addressed in depth by a poster in this thread already, Jokic spends an inordinate amount of time with the Nuggets starters relative to the bench players. That's not on him, but it goes to explain why there is such a massive chasm relative to other stars who spend much more time playing with the bench as well. This stat is also incorrect as Aaron Gordon has a +22.8 Net (Monte Morris has a +21.8). It's a mistake by Malone to do this IMO. As far as pure +/- goes, Curry leads the league at +11.9 per game, Jokic is second at +9.0, Giannis third at +8.7, and Gobert/Mitchell are 4th/5th at +8.6.

Or we could make a case that he is always playing with backups because Nuggets starters are injured
Anyway those 4 (Steph, Giannis, KD, Jokic) are having great seasons so there is no reason to question why are people delighted with the seasons they have.
