Yes by mandating a vaccine, they are ignoring natural immunity. This is not a opinion - it’s factual.

No offense but your attitude about this is awful. Good luck convincing others.

Did you actually read the 3 citations I posted.

I question your reading comprehension if u did.

VACCINATIONS MAKE A ENORMOUS DIFFERENCE in survivors of natural infection.

Mandating is a last resesort option - since tens of millions of morons have declined freely available vaccinations for a **** year - INCLUDING survivors of natural infection.

3 articles on the web say it’s true so it must be. Lol.

Agree to disagree.

Your prerogative, but the articles are published by the best journals in the world & written by the brightest epidemiologists, infectious disease docs in the world. This is not information derived from MSNBC & CNN hair on fire liberals.

What's being linked aren't opinions. They're write ups about studies that confirm vaccination is many times more beneficial than previous infection.

You can hang on oversimplified myths such as previous infection of a virus leads to immunity, but that's as stubbornheaded as those in the past who believed in old wives tales.

Tell me more: what type of immunity are you gaining from having had covid, how long does your protection last, and do you gain anything then from getting a vaccine after having covid?

Oh Yeah-- Mangina back wit da ninjis!

This thread is like watching a multi-car pileup on the highway: I'm partially horrified by the scene, yet keep turning my head to watch. It's got everything you need from RealGM Celtics starters: DDB, Ex, BostonCouch, Mang, Pinkney... even Stockton came out of retirement!

I'm mostly agnostic, and don't want to get into the mix as it's a deep rabbit hole indeed. Plus, I too try to take sage advice from the great AP:

COVID-19: Greeks who do not send children to school face jail

Athens cracks down on parents who refuse to send their children to school because of COVID-19 measures such as mask-wearing or testing.

Parents who do not send their children to school because of COVID-19 measures will face a two-year prison sentence and a fine.

It's not about evidence and reason, people just distrust scientific and medical authorities and the media. Way way more trustworthy if you have a shred of understanding of how science works and what evidentiary standards are. It's kind of "luddite" and hypocritical and irrational, though. Science is everywhere, technological and medical innovation are in every part of our lives. It's not made up.

Incredibly myopic, it's like sticking your nose against a painting, only seeing the sky and then insisting the whole thing is blue. People think context is bullsh*t and excuse-making because they don't understand what it means.

As usual, the **** moron DDB posts disinformation & demonstrates once again he has the medical insight of a pebble.

Here is something published yesterday suggesting UNIVERSAL BOOSTING superimposed on 2 prior mRNA vaccinations or a previous native Covid infection ‘may’ make a big difference.

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.12.12.21267646v1.full.pdf

Of particular concern, neutralizing antibody titers against Omicron were low, even below the limit of detection in a significant fraction of convalescent individuals, Ad26 vaccine recipients or 2 dose mRNA vaccine recipients, particularly following the waning that ensues following infection or vaccination. Nevertheless, individuals that had been previously infected with SARS- CoV-2 and subsequently received mRNA vaccines, or those that have received THREE doses of mRNA vaccines had substantial neutralizing antibody titers against Omicron ~1 month after boosting. The ability of plasmas from these individuals to neutralize Omicron likely represents the COMBINED effect of increased antibody levels PER SE following multiple exposures to antigen, as well as the effects of ‘affinity maturation’ (‘ADAPTABLE ANTIBODY RESPONSE’ OF PLASMA CELLS TO WILD TYPE ANTIGEN - ANALOGOUS TO THE ‘ADAPTABLE ANTIBODY RESPONSE’ OF MEMORY B CELLS) that can dramatically improve the neutralizing breadth of individual SARS-CoV-2 antibodies as well as polyclonal plasma.

These findings suggest that boosting and promoting ‘affinity maturation’ of the antibodies of those who have previously been infected or vaccinated using existing Wuhan-hu-1 based vaccine immunogens will provide additional protection against Omicron variant infection and disease.

The emergence of the Omicron lineage that is phylogenetically distinct from the previously globally dominant Delta SARS-CoV-2 variant also illustrates the need for continuing vigilance and mitigation of virus transmission. The prior emergence, and global spread of the Alpha, Delta, and Omicron variants underscore our inability to predict the emergence of variants that might facilitate targeted vaccine development.

The findings described herein and the emergence of Omicron suggest that effort should be devoted to development of vaccination strategies that are broadly based rather than, or in addition to, those narrowly targeted at contemporary emergent SARS-CoV-2 variants.

The chances of morons like DDB understanding any of this are 1 billion to 1.

Not true. Idiots who deny the whole thing aside, we ALSO have plenty of anti-vaxxers, anti-maskers, etc. who do not seriously dispute the death counts.
