COVID is going to continue to evolve and we're all going to get it multiple times in our lifetimes. The NBA has to learn to adapt. We can't just suspend play every year during the season because of this.
Players who aren't sick good get sick playing and compromise themselves playing a strenuous sport. They can also pass it on to a lot of other players and teams if they aren't sick, making those players sick.
So regular working people don't have the same problems? Should everybody working be tested daily?
Regular working people are mostly social distancing and wearing masks. Neither of which happens on the court. The problem is the variants keep coming and we don't know if new ones will be very serious. I get the point of letting players just play through it if vaccinated, but the issue is more the unknown.
