because we are highly unlikely to make any in season trade that will cause us to win fewer games this year than we would have won had we not made the trade.
there are certainly Pacer fans who think LeVert is a bad fit, but Carlisle has always been very positive about him. if we traded him it would be for a more traditional point guard.
bottom line - most of us think the moving to rebuild story was over sold. we'll listen but we haven't given up on the possibility of Warren playing in January and everything turning around. perhaps that's wishful thinking but isn't that what fans do?

JMAC3 wrote:Levert and Lamb for Kevin Love makes some sense for both teams. Pacers are about to enter rebuild so having Love bad contract isn't the end of the world and Pacers fans love white players haha. Cavs have an okay first, Spurs 2nd and Rockets 2nd this year to mix and get deal done (not saying you will get all three). Cavs are desperate for guard play after Sexton and Rubio are out for year.
Love contract next year could have value as an expiring as well. Also if they deal Turner or Sabonis then Love can eat some of those minutes along with Goga.

No it doesn’t. It makes Indy older, more expensive, and even more unbalanced, roster wise. Love expires next year? So does Levert. And Lamb expires this year.
And you can get the heck out of here if you’re going to make the whole “Indy fans are racist so they’ll make bad deals just to turn black players into white players” crack. Seriously. We’re beyond done with that.

Your little haha at the end doesn't change anything. It is still a serious subject. Throwing in Utah and Boston certainly does not make it less so.
Scoot was right. You should likely leave while you are darned near ahead.

unless you have a magic wand that you can wave at Kevin Love and make him 22 and on a rookie contract, suggesting he'd help us is not a serious suggestion.

Also, its not about getting Love its about getting a first for a player who doesn't fit timeline in Levert and expiring in Lamb. Yeah you take on Love, but if you're truly rebuilding salary cap isn't going to matter much next few years anyways.

You nitpicking one part of the entire post is weird, considering it has nothing to do with the subject of my post. If you don't have any interest in discussing basketball then yeah I can leave.

And it’s equally stupid and shouldn’t be tolerated.
“You’re racist so you’ll like this..hahah…lol”
The haha and lol don’t disregard the beginning part. Much like starting a sentence with “I mean no disrespect” doesn’t allow you to be disrespectful. Also, its not about getting Love its about getting a first for a player who doesn't fit timeline in Levert and expiring in Lamb. Yeah you take on Love, but if you're truly rebuilding salary cap isn't going to matter much next few years anyways.
Then pitch a deal. Don’t sell us on the Levert/Lamb for Love and say “and maybe some picks if you can”. You’re missing the key part.
And a rebuilding team can always use salary cap and should always get paid for disregarding it. There’s value in cap space, even if it’s not in signing top players.

I'm disrespectful? but you say my post is stupid? Cool you're really handling yourself well from your high horse.
You have totally derailed the topic to point a finger at an innocent joke. Congrats.
I bet you're really fun at parties. Do you also go around the internet correcting grammar on random posts as well?
I am here to talk about basketball not politics or to take anything someone says too serious. You should try it. Far more fun then whatever you are trying to accomplish by beating a dead horse.
