It seemed like he struggled as a PG in college and did much better as a SG. He put up 2 apg and 2 TO at Kansas?
He can make some plays but is still not close to an NBA PG. I would just let him focus on defending, shooting and making secondary plays, rather then put too much on his plate in a role he can't really play. Develop him at SG rather then the wrong position.
I just find it kind of funny
Grimes is basically everything melo has been saying RJ is
And RJ is closer to what melo thinks Grimes is.
I think it’s funny you’re running with the straw man argument again
Grimes is in the 66th percentile among wings in assist%. He’s also in the 82nd percentile in assist to usage at his position, meaning that he actually creates a lot the more he has the ball in his hands. You’re thinking like Thibs just planting him in a corner and running with the 3 and D narrative when advanced stats say otherwise

That's not at all what those stats say lol
A PG doesn't drive less than once per game. Hell, Obi drives 1.5 times a game on similar minutes
53% of Grimes's possessions are spot ups
He's used as a 3-D guy. Just watching will show you that, and the stats do back that up
He's a good passer for a 3-D guy, but he's not a PG, and he doesn't create for others off the dribble.
