Gotta think Washington would take Simmons over Boston's scraps. So let's hope Tatum has his hooks in Beal.
That would be crippling to the wizards franchise.
That is a terrible, awful deal for them
Simmons has NO VALUE, imo, this is just more Morey bull
Simmons is flashy with his passing and can elevate a team enough to get the 8-10 seed. He's a "star" you can market. Stops the team from going back to the bottom of the lottery and you can sell the fanbase you got something back for Beal. Maybe that's all the owners want?
From the perspective of winning a title I agree. Simmons seems like an awful locker room dude w/ low work ethic. Then there's that whole jump shot thing.
Just looking at that roster if they traded BEal for Simmons
(Next Season)
PG: Dinwiddie-18 million
SF: Bertrans - 16 Million
SF: Kuzma - 13 million
PF: Hachimura - 6 Million
SF: Advija - 5 million
SF: Kispert - 3.5 million
C: Gafford - 1.9 million
PF: Todd - 1.5 Million
PF: Simmons - 35.5 Million
SG: Pope - 14 Million
Lotto Pick - 3.5 million
119 ish Million 11 rostered players. Just the MLE and second rounder to add 3 players.
And of that the only floor spacers on the team are Rui and Pope as the only 2 guys shooting above 35% from 3.
That is an absolute TRAINWRECK of a team.
In fact, that is so bad I would be surprised if Ben even showed up to play.
