Kyrie Irving is a completely toxic personality who has basically sabotaged this team.
Nash sucks, but all of this began to go wrong the moment Irving refused to get vaccinated.
I don't blame Harden one bit for wanting out of here. People expect him to carry a roster full of non shooters and a part time player to a winning record at age 33. Not me. I hope all the best for James Harden. He was all in until it was blatantly clear that Kyrie, and by extension KD, didn't care whether we win or not, and he decided it was time to go. I can't fault him for that. I have said all season long if I had to choose between trying to win a championship with Joel Embiid and Doc Rivers or the current situation the Nets are in with an inept coach, a top heavy roster and an absolute toxic and selfish player like Kyrie, I would chose to play with Embiid. Embiid is playing MVP ball and wants to win.
Go back to the first post in this thread. I told you guys this was going to happen.
By protecting Kyrie, KD basically told us he's just here to hoop, but not necessarily to win a championship.
I hope Kyrie opts out this summer. There's no sense in hoping that things will change with this guy. He is who he is, a highly paranoid individual with Narcissistic personality disorder that always leaves things worse than he found them. The day he got in front of the media and said that guys need to put their egos aside for the good of the team despite the fact that he never does is all you need to know about him.
And those of you who think things will change when or if the mandate is lifted, I've got news for you: It will then be something else that causes a problem.
