Basically, that explains why our offense falls off a cliff when he sits, from 111.3 to 101.7. Also confirms what most know, that the defense completely sells out against him and tries to make everyone else beat them. And we’re watching him unlock what he’s able to do with that gravity.
Turns out that when you put legitimately good NBA players around him (Rob, Smarf, Brown), this team kicks a$$. +18.8 net rating this season with those four on the floor.
The problem is not Tatum + Brown. The problem is that, other than our key four guys (+Horford), the rest of our team stinks and our net rating falls off a cliff.
Just look at our net ratings. Almost any four-man combo of our starters is +10 to +22. Basically every lineup combo besides that is neutral to garbage
