If he plays 15 mins over 2 games that would have otherwise been Giannis at 5 minutes then I'm happy.

Anything more is a bonus

If that was the goal and point then it should have been started as soon as Brook went down. Or at least continued after Boogie. Even trying younger and more athletic THEN available players. That would have been the moves. At this point it’s a joke and shows a complete failure of by Horst.

Monroe does nothing better than Boogie but having a cheap watch he doesn’t care about.
Outside shooting? Nope. Rim protection? Nope. Athletic enough to defend, cover and/or switch? Nope. He’s a big with a pulse and six fouls, that’s a decent rebounder. “Mine”
Complete failure by Horst since dropping Boogie and this had better not be the only move around the deadline. If this was the type of move to make it should have been done as soon as Boogie was gone. Wasted games and wear and tear on both Giannis and Bobby.

You haven't seen Monroe this year. He's about 30 pounds lighter. Moving well. Is he good? Who knows, but he moves much better than Boogie, and has the small sample stats to back that up.

Don't get the Boogie love this board has. Both are probably trash and all you get before buyout season. Check out cousins games played and stats during his two ten day contract. It's not pretty and the guy has always been injury prone.

Should have done this a week ago and have him for 20 days leading into the buyout market.

Lmao people going to bat for Boogies defense. Boogie is 100% one of the worst big man defenders in the league, if not the worst. He can't move in a straight line, laterally, or get up vertically. He was also lazy defensively. Moose defense is nothing to write home about, but he was always underappreciated on that end and looks to be in great shape.

Boogie was fun for the first few games, then the honeymoon was over and I started cringing watching him labor around the court with his atrocious defense, Boogie was not it

Rebounding is a big problem for the team at the moment.

Moose helps there.

What’s the problem?

Definitely not the most inspired move but it’s also only 10 days. Curious to see how he does.

Monroe won’t be a perfect fit even in the best case scenario. But Boogie wasn’t either, and what other guy currently available for free would be?

If Monroe ends up the only center we acquire post-deadline and buyout season then that would also mean this is a serious vote of confidence that Brook is coming back.

That’d be a much bigger deal than what particular stopgap we use in the meantime.

Brook coming back notwithstanding, we still need more size. Having someone like Jerami Grant or Harrison Barnes on the wing to offer some legit size would be really nice. We are way too small.

Is Nance the next one out in Portland?

Would we view him as an upgrade to Donte? Whether or not Suki is spooked by Nance's injury history would be a big question.

Bucks could save the Blazers a bunch of money helping them get off his deal for next season.

Not sure how interested Portland would be in Donte though -- especially if they are keeping McCollum.

That's pretty **** incredible, considering we only have a fraction of these other teams' revenue.

Owners not cheap in my book, they must be feeling it in their back pocket.

Finals merch would be paying for it.

Monroe looked good in his stint with the T-wolves in December. Bucks need another center badly, especially defensively, I think Monroe will be a very good addition for the Bucks.

Who would’ve thought 5 years ago that one day we would be watching Monroe on the Wolves going up against Jabari on the Celtics

This is cool. Was never happy with paying him to be a starting C but he can give us a less volatile type Cousins role probably. I am not at all fussy at this point and also it's **** funny.

Monroe most recently played in five games earlier this season with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards while on two 10-day contracts. In those five games, Monroe shot 59.1% from the field and averaged 5.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.0 block in 16.2 minutes per game.

I think you insert yourself into McCollum talks and try to walk away with Nance.

MKE: Nance, Snell
PDX: Hart, Hayes, Connaughton, Hood, MKE '24 1st (via NOP), DAL '22 2nd, IND '25 2nd (via MKE)
NOP: McCollum, Nwora
DAL: Satoransky (into TPE)

-Bucks add a versatile two-way big.
-Blazers shed another $20M+, adding picks and useful rotation pieces.
-Pels land their guy in McCollum, Nwora is a good Zion fit.
-Mavs add much needed depth using their TPE and a 2nd.

Holiday / Hill
Allen / DiVincenzo
Middleton / Matthews / Snell
Giannis / Nance
Portis / Monroe / (Lopez)

We were either not really imaginative or creative when it came to looking for a 5 option or there's like **** all out there and Monroe was one of the only ok options. Yikes either way.
