What changed from the time he signed his extension until now? I agree his body language is awful, he always seems angry. I don't understand it. The picture is pretty meaningless though, without context. I wonder what happened behind the scenes to cause all this. Part of me thinks it's about Dolan. That guy always has his paws in something he shouldn't. Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

It's not Dolan, at least directly. Randle went out of his way to thank him for paying the media fines he was incurring for not talking after losses.

Or the simplest answer is that Randle has been spoiled by his guaranteed money, enabled by an owner who encourages him to be a non-leader coward who skirts responsibility, and humiliated in front of his young son whom MSG Network and Garden operations treat like a mascot.

The FO added pieces that were supposed to propel Randle to EC playoff contender. Instead they exposed him as a fake superstar. His ego is hurt and he has an owner who will neither hold him accountable nor sanction FO moves to do the rebuild necessary to draft actual Championship-level superstars.

Randle is an enabled dumb jock whose game can neither back up his ego nor his franchise’s desperate dysfunctional thirst for a superstar.

Well Julius just lost 600k not making the All-Star team. The incentives may be a big part of Julius' problems this year.

Attributing a person's mental issues to not making another 600K to add to their 117M makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I agree he started out the season trying to stat pad to make that bonus, but his issues are far deeper than becoming a troubled, moody bitch because he won't make a bonus.

I don’t think he’s a 1,2 or 3rd option. I believe he would flourish in a Draymond Green type role where if the ball goes to him he will produce. He still attracts double teams more so I believe is because he tends to turn the ball over because he doesn’t get rid of the ball fast enough. Thibs should have a plan for these double teams and call out a play so that Randle knows what area of the court to throw the pass to.
If he concentrates on being a pass first score second player I think he would be successful with us. And my huge question is who is looking for a point forward? I can’t think of a team that would absorb his contract without a draft pick and one of our young core. Knicks lifers for me right now are the young core including Quickley, Obi, McBride, Grimes, RJ, and Sims.

He has given Randle such a long leash that it's shocking to me that someone from the Riley/Van Gundy lineage has been so weak on players. Shocking.
