Why did James Harden want to leave the Nets?

that's why I'm not fully buying into the Embiid-Harden Sixers...who knows if those 2 will work out chemistry-wise

injuries are a part of reality.....people were questioning Kyrie's durability the second the Nets "superteam" was formed.

I think it's pretty obvious to suspect he hated the drama surrounding the team, with largely Kyrie to blame. There are reports that they did not vibe together at all. Once KD went down with injury, Harden must've felt the pressure to be the ironman of the team, the constant amongst the chaos, while he felt they (KD) didn't keep Kyrie accountable enough.

Harden probably felt a lack of urgency from them, of course both of them have their rings while he doesn't. The frustration/resentment of that kind of situation just built up to the point where he wanted out.

Yes, Kyrie did this.

No sympathy for Harden and his behavior, but if you’re looking for someone to blame other than him, it’s the flat earther who has decided to not to get vaccinated even when it means totally messing up his team.

That ironic because Harden was the steady ship at the Nets in all of this. Man was on fire last season he’s been an Ironman for a long long time and has done heaps of one man jobs.

Money & power. Tsai & Marks were uneasy about giving him 5 years this summer. He also didn't have the organizational say that he would have with Morey. KD has all of the player influence with Marks.

Good thing that Harden opted into his last year so Morey and the 76ers don't have to worry about it this summer. I'm sure Morey spoke to Harden about that.

Harden is not a leader. He's a glorified role player, all offense no defense, and when the going gets tough, he wants to be traded, he quits. Him & Durant has missed a boatload of games but so what, who cares about the regular season?

Kyrie is a head case, few would argue otherwise. But him playing only road games plus Durant and Harden would've been enough to get BKN to the ECF at least. Harden is shortsighted, he's all about himself. I don't see a team with Harden as one of the "leaders" winning a Championship. He doesn't have the right character. Fool's gold.

So he went to join with a superstar who doesn't have one in Philly.
