This might be the hardest dunk I have ever seen him do

Or This

Those are big powerful dunks. But this one is the most lethal one I've seen him throw down tbh lol... I don't know how much of its effect is amplified because of the mic on the rim, but it legit gets me every time.

It took Jordan his last shot as a Bulls to have that signature play.

He still got time

Came here to say this, I don't even want to remember it. We didn't have Ben anymore, and oldass C-Webb was our 5. LeBron just blasted on us. Like, full on annihilator in the paint. Not a soul could stop him. And we were still a good defensive team at this point, but we weren't quite at our 04 defense anymore. LeBron showed us that the torch must be passed, and it happened here. Just like Jordan had to get over Detroit to start reaching the finals, so did LeBron.

Witness

Never seen anything like it. Certainly not since it happened. Maybe the most memorable performance of the 2000s?

amen. i wasn't a lebron fan before that game. i was watching in bed, just a random playoff game or so i thought. lebron started going off and just continued to make shot after shot - i was completely in awe and hardly believed what i was seeing. there was no other choice but to appreciate the singular greatness that was on display. we were absolutely all witnesses.

Yeah he put the world on notice in that one. Also remembering game 6 of the 2012 ECF @ Boston, where he went into kill mode. He just has too many moments to choose from.

Let’s be honest he doesn’t really have an iconic play like some of the other greats if you have to think about it that means he doesn’t have one. When you think about Jordan you think about the last shot against the Jazz.

The defining moment in Lebron’s career was in actuality Ray Allen’s shot

Lebron's game winner in the playoffs against Orlando for me. Just because of how passionate his reaction was.

C'mon, it's the 25pts in a row versus the Pistons. The Pistons were still a damn good team and Bron absolutely dominated for what felt like an eternity.

EDIT: Look at those score totals lol. 109-107.. in DOUBLE OT.

I mean, there are plenty of game winning (jump) shots in NBA play off history. But I don't think there are many, if any other, buzzer beating drive. Not to mention he did it against the nr. 1 defense, being guarded by an All D player in Paul George, receiving the ball 20+ feet away from the basket, with his back to the basket and having only 2.2 seconds left to complete the drive. 999 out of 1000 would have settled for a turnaround or pull up jumper.

the decision to sub out Roy Hibbert, the best rim protector at that time, for Sam **** Young only to get beaten by a layup gamewinner still is the worst coaching decision Frank Vogel ever made.
Funny thing that year was that the Spurs basically made the same mistake in the finals (subbing out Tim Duncan for a smaller player) which resulted in a Bosh Rebound and a Ray Allen 3.

I believe it was Hansbrough who was brought in place of Hibbert. And did you actually see what Hansbrough had to do during that play. I mean it was Cole-Allen-James-Bosh on the floor. Do you expect Hibbert to have done it better or just leave someone open to protect the rim for a drive no one really expected anyway?

Besides, the Pacers weren't like the Jazz today depending mostly of 1 guy as a defense, they were a great defense as a team.

I feel like all the guys mentioned by the OP, and actually pretty much every all time great, have a bunch of iconic signature plays.

How many other guys have such a great understanding of the game that they can lay in a buzzer beater like that?

Roys reaction is perfect. All time terrible coaching decision.

HypeMode wrote:It's crazy to think that LeBron will end his career with over 50,000+ Points and 15,000+ Assists yet somehow he won't end up with a defining Offensive play that we will remember him for. His career highlight is a Block in Game 7. No other All-time great has a defensive play as their defining moment.

AI had his step over of Ty Lue
MJ had the shot in Utah over Bryon Russell
Magic Johnson had the baby hook
Shaq and Kobe had the alley oop vs Portland
Hakeem had the dream shake vs David Robinson
Curry had the buzzer beater vs OKC

LeBron will end up being the most prolific Offensive player in history but still end up without an offensive highlight that will be played for eternity.

Curry's OKC shot wasn't a buzzer beater and it was mere regular season. To me, Curry's signature offensive highlight is getting locked down by Kevin Love when a championship is on the line.

I think most people would say his game winner against Orlando. It's a famous play that every basketball fan is aware of. The NBA used that clip in commercials and ran it into the ground.
