The Harden the Nets had their last 10 games together is not the Harden you saw last night.
When he wants out he quits on his team.
Sure but if they kept him past the trade deadline he would have locked back in.
That's a serious risk for someone who's about to become an unrestricted free agent. Brooklyn did great given the circumstances.
Let's circle back to this in a few weeks once everyone's back in the lineup. People will be shocked how good Simmons is as the 3rd option.
I have watched virtually every game that Ben Simmons has played since he entered the NBA. I do not know where you are getting this "watch what Ben's going to be able to do as the 3rd option" ish from. The ball is going to primarily be in either KD's or Kyrie's hands in the halfcourt - as it should be. Ben can't shoot. He is not much of a pick and roll guy. He is not - for his size - the greatest finisher. And he sure as hell won't be generating offense from the free throw line.
What SPECIFIC OFFENSIVE SKILLS has Ben Simmons demonstrated IN HIS ENTIRE NBA CAREER that lead you to say we are going to be "shocked" at his offensive output? Huh?
He will defend like a DPOY guy. He will certainly generate points in transition. But in the 4th quarter of playoff games, Ben Simmons has shown ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENSIVE SKILLS WHATSOEVER. They take the ball OUT of his hands. He REFUSES to shoot.
So, please explain - based on Ben's demonstrated history - where this "shocking" 4th quarter offense is going to come from.
Thanks!
