Gameplan all you want. Its almost impossible to keep him out of the paint in an iso or high screen situation. Hes to quick and good with his handle to trap. Similar to Drose in 2011, hes taken the superstar leap where you can try whatever defensively, but it wont matter. If he can improve from 3 memphis is a title contender, if they arent already. Their core all have room to grow too, not just morant.
It always seems obvious but consistency is the key. If Ja has a subpar year next season, all the goodwill from this season will be questioned and rightfully so. I mean, all we have to do is look at Luka who had 2 years of Superstar play but started the season slow and all the questions started.
True, but aside from an injury, its way more likely for Morant to continue to improve rather than regress. He has clear room for improvement on his outside shot, which he has improved to this point. Hes playimg at a superstar level as is, his athleticism is unmatched in the league, and hes shown to be an elite closer
