hes popping off but mostly hes bumslaying weak defenses playoffs coaches will gameplan.

Gameplan all you want. Its almost impossible to keep him out of the paint in an iso or high screen situation. Hes to quick and good with his handle to trap. Similar to Drose in 2011, hes taken the superstar leap where you can try whatever defensively, but it wont matter. If he can improve from 3 memphis is a title contender, if they arent already. Their core all have room to grow too, not just morant.

It always seems obvious but consistency is the key. If Ja has a subpar year next season, all the goodwill from this season will be questioned and rightfully so. I mean, all we have to do is look at Luka who had 2 years of Superstar play but started the season slow and all the questions started.

True, but aside from an injury, its way more likely for Morant to continue to improve rather than regress. He has clear room for improvement on his outside shot, which he has improved to this point. Hes playimg at a superstar level as is, his athleticism is unmatched in the league, and hes shown to be an elite closer

People saying he’s in conversation for Most Improved are selling him way too short.

He should be a top 4 MVP candidate now.

Why people would hate Ja? Since Vince Carter I don´t see such a entertaining player!

He is 100% a superstar. Only reason he wont win MVP is because there are 3 bigmen currently that will go down as all time greats.

Yup, if it were another season and Ja, Luka, and Derozan could be leading MVP candidates. The Big 3 are just on a different level.

you dont reach superstar in a day. even if he did, he needs to maintain it and get the accolades.
my biggest issue for ja is relative unknown no one really recognize outside of nba community and he is too much unproven at this point. need some splash like displaying mvp westbrook type of run in playoffs bumslaying luka, steph, jokic would be a start.

luka and trae were superstars from day 1 everyone knew it they avg mvp numbers in playoffs and dont give in to pressure.
but most youngsters are not like this mostly they have derozan type where they will dominate the rs and fall off 30% playoffs.
i dont think he will choke like derozan but need some sample size before crowning him.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

Loll he's playing unreal and I'd be happy to look foolish with that comment. Who isn't a Ja Morant fan?

I'm all for personal responsibility, but admittedly I have a hard time blaming people too much for jumping the gun, when outlets like ESPN pounce the moment they find a guy they can prop up as appointment viewing. We saw it with Tebow, Johnny Manziel, etc......and when they live up to and/or surpass...even more so (Tom Brady/LBJ).

A little late and off timing with this comment but Jan can prove he can be a superstar here in the postseason.
