Is this true? if so, can someone explain to me how?
Yankee Stadium is outdoor
The stadium is irrelevant. the mandate for venues was lifted. the mandate keeping kyrie out is the private employer mandate, which applies to the yankees where they play indoor or outdoor
That's what I don't understand. There's a bunch of news about Yankee players not being able to travel for Toronto games (BTW the MLB is ready to fight the ruling because there used to be an exception for athletes and performers). NO news at all about their players not being able to play at home. Shouldn't the mandate apply to them too? It seems like it doesn't.
Wouldn't the mandate also apply to Kyrie practicing with the team?
It feels like NYC just threw in that Kyrie isn't allowed to player due to the private sector mandate at the last minute when they lifted the public mandate. The wording of the rule implies that the Nets should be able to give Kyrie an exemption with reasonable accommodations like testing, mask use, etc.
