Re: James Wiseman 2021/2022
How the hell did Wiseman go from "he should be ready for training camp" to "he's not going to play this year" (not there quite yet but it looks like that's where it's heading)? I know injuries aren't fully predictable but damn, that's about as bad a miscalculation as you could have.

It was a bad decision to repair and not cut off the teared meniscus.
Rose lost one year with the same decision and Wiseman is the same case.
Wiseman is young and a meniscus tear is not a big injury.
When he will have a serious medical treatment he will be ok

I'm sensing a pattern here.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2842970-andre-iguodala-clarifies-comments-on-warriors-training-staff-kevin-durant
While talking to Mark Medina of the Mercury News, Iguodala made it clear that he did not believe there was any "internal pressure at all" as he worked his way back from a leg injury during the 2018 postseason:
"I don't think it was internal pressure at all. It had nothing to do with me. When you read an MRI, it can be read so many different ways. Even if I thought what it was or they thought what it was, we were all clear and on the same page. My leg was stable. In that area, even if you have a bruise or a fracture, it is very similar. People don't realize that. We were both on the same page that it was stable and that part of the body was fine to go play. Regardless of what I thought it was or what they thought it was or what anybody thought it was, we were all on the same page that I was good to go. It was a stable leg."
...
The injury immediately resulted in second-guessing, with some questioning just how serious Durant's initial was. Iguodala doesn't believe the Warriors' training staff is at fault, though, per Medina:
"From what I learned about the body is that I don’t think the two were connected personally with his injuries. When he goes down, I look at it as an act of God and a higher power that says, 'This is your journey and the course.' Of course, we as human beings, we try to have control over everything. We want to control the narrative. We want to put our opinions to everything and say we’re right about something and try to prove someone else wrong. Especially with our team and situation, someone is trying to knock us off a pedestal. Someone is trying to break us apart. I've said that many things throughout my career. This was actually something that was positive. But with this being with our team, it was turned into something negative. That was my take on KD’s thing. I don’t think he was pressured by anyone."

Has he been taking up a roster spot all season?
There's no injured reserve?

I'm with vagelis. Just trim the meniscus and he'll be back in 4-6 weeks. None of this repair nonsense that takes 9 months and ends up failing. We have him under contract for 2 more years after this one we need to get as many games under his belt so we can decide whether to re sign him or not.

You guys should be doctors, such a good grasp on all this medical info
“Remove the meniscus of a 20 year old because it will help heal faster”
Do you guys what Dunning-Kruger is? What am I saying.. you guys probably have extensive backgrounds in that too

Re: James Wiseman 2021/2022
Do we even know anything outside of he didn't practice with the team this week and won't play in the G League tonight? Seems like the doom and gloomers + the LaMelo truthers took that sliver of info and ran with it. Unless I missed something - and I might have - we have no confirmation that he will be out for another extended period of time due to this swelling.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

Now I am just an inter web doctor like everyone else, but I haven’t found ANY source recommending removal/shaving for someone in Wiseman’s circumstances.FNQ wrote:You guys should be doctors, such a good grasp on all this medical info

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

there is a silver lining. we have his team option for next 2 years. maybe just let him walk to free up space and pick up vets for the last 2 years push.

Correct, it could just be a small bump in the road, however it does reset the rehab clock. So it is expected that he's done for the year, even in the most optimistic of scenarios

You can, however, find numerous sites and medical blogs explaining why removing meniscus is a bad idea for someone's long term knee health and should only be done in situations where the cartilage is too far gone

Let him walk and we can use the TMLE.
Keep him and we can still use the TMLE.
Letting him walk does not free up space to pick up vets.
We won’t have space until Steph and Klay stop making $50m and $40m, respectively.
I am amazed that people making so many posts still have zero idea about so many things about this team.

wrong again. the team won't be hard capped unless they acquire a player via a S&T. Letting Wiseman walk for nothing will only save Lacob money and will not have any impact on the ability to add to the roster. Steph, Klay and Draymond take up almost all of the teams salary under the cap and that is without considering Wiggins salary.

You guys, there is absolutely no way they let Wiseman walk. Not even worth a discussion.

Thanks, but other than benching Lee I really don’t have an issue about the rotation of the team I fanatically support, but can provide evidence to support my suggestion
It’s not like I know nothing about the Warriors and did a quick Google search on them, then made a statement that’s easily proven to be incorrect

If trading for LeBron can be discussed, then...anything goes!
