Well Okc sarted with SGA so they were already a step ahead of the 76ers Process™. However, you are correct, they need the same lottery luck any other team needs. Most of their picks are not premium picks either. So if they end up outside of the top 3 and their pick does not pop like Scottie Barnes, you begin to wonder how long will SGA stay on the train.
Problem is SGA isn’t Embiid. Embiid has never had a quality full squad wait until that happens (same with Jokic/Doncic fwiw).
I don’t see Jabari as that kind of talent but drafts are cyclical and picks are just that. You can minimize the boom/bust potential if you do the due diligence properly say Tatum for example but Drafts will never be an exact science.
Yeah the best methods sport wide has always been culture >>> investing/tanking/losing for “high” picks. Organisations culture is everything. For SGA it’s probably in his best interest to be a really good second option on a contender/upcoming team. It’s not his fault the route OKC is taking.
