More importantly, Pritchard doesn't take away the ball from Tatum and Smart. He also doesn't slow the offense down.

And to play hard-nosed defense.

I understand the disdain for Schroeder but we were 14-6 in 2022 before he was traded and 13-3 since the trade. Although we are #1 in off and def rating since trade, the team was really good in the 20 games this year before trade too. He and JRich were a big part of the turnaround even if we got even better after the trades. I wouldn’t mind at all if Spurs traded JRich back to us for trade exception this off season assuming nothing better comes along.

Does anyone like "The Dagger?" I guess it's not phonetic or anything but daggers are small and, ya know, hit daggers.

The Celtics were winning in spite of Schroder most of the time once we became relatively healthy and he started coming off the bench. We were 15-6 since NYE until trade deadline. Schroder on the floor: 3.9 net rating. That shot up to 19.2 when he was on the bench. He was also dragging the other bench players along with him including Tatum, who spent minutes with the bench group. Opposite scenario now with PP where Cs are better with him on the floor than off.
Schroder was serviceable when he spot-started esp when we were missing our #2 scorer. Even won a couple of games for us in the clutch. But he was an awkward fit for what we're trying to accomplish. Glad we moved on so PP could get the opportunity he's making the most of now.
JRich I don't mind getting back.

I agree with everything you said but I completely disagree with the notion we sucked BECAUSE of Schroeder and are good because we got rid of him. We got remarkably better before the trade because Tatum-Brown-Smart-Horford-RW got healthy and finally figured it out. The White/Schroeder/JRich/PP reshuffling fits better with what the starting 5 got going and allows Ime to make substitutions seamlessly and was a nice tweak to roster by Brad.

Never said we sucked because of Schroder. I'm saying the team is even better without him because the bench pieces we have now fit better with what we're trying to do. Decent floor, low ceiling with Schroder.
