Sixers would jump at Giannis and Luka for sure and at the very least think twice about Jokic.

I can't tell you how quickly the Sixers accept any deal which lands them Giannis or Luka.

It's funny you guys think so, but no... We wouldn't. Why would a win now team trade for a worse player with worse fit just because Luka is younger? As for Giannis, they are on the same tier but once again Embiid's fit is preferable with our current roster. If the Bucks didn't land Holiday last year then Giannis would still be viewed as a playoff choke artist (not that I ever agreed with that take, just making a point). If the Sixers' win this year then suddenly Embiid will be viewed completely differently just like Giannis.

Ehm, no.
Giannis was a 2xMVP and a DPOY before Holiday and the ring.
He had also reached the conference finals.
Along with secondary honors like MIP or ASGmvp.
He won these with Eric Bledsoe, not Jrue Holiday.

Embiid's greatest accomplishment so far are some player of the months accolades.
And the highest he's been is the 2nd round.
What are you comparing here?

They are not on the same tier nor the same boat. They are the same age but giannis was significantly better and more accomplished even before his ring.
Now he's on KDs level.
There are levels. Embiid is not on that level.

Giannis is more accomplished, yes. I also would rank Giannis best in the league and Joel 2nd best (roughly tied with Jokic). That doesn't negate the fact that those players are on the same tier and there's an abundance of data to support that. Like I said, Embiid wins a ring this year and suddenly the narrative is completely different

I say under control because Harden and Embiid had good games and the team was controlling a 10 point lead right into the third quarter before he sat. But let’s blame a couple missed shots at the end and say the clutch gene isn’t there. The Sixers problem is a lack of a backup center and a true 3-D wing that can complement the team on both ends, that’s it. Fix it in the off-season. Bum Adebayo is just a troll for those who are wondering.

Giannis played 37.5 mins, Embiid played 38.5 mins. But sure the Sixers only lost because Doc, unlike every other coach in the league, doesn't play his starters 48 minutes.

Iam not sure I understand your point. My point is Millsap is a known washed entity. He had 0 points 0 rebounds and zero assists. He was targeted by Giannis for a 17 point run in his 9 minutes while Embiid sat. That is the reason the game was lost. If he was on the Bucks guarding Embiid what would that equate to. Doc has a couple rookies that can do better. Bassey can at least be part of a wall and slow a rim attack and get rebounds. He is also a lob threat offensively. Millsap provides nothing as a center other than a mismatch for Giannis to attack.

The only thing I can think of for both teams to make sense would be a Suns trade.

Ayton plus 3 frp picks

for Embiid

BTW no way the 76ers trade Embiid they would be stupid to do so.

Lol Heat would never do that. Maybe Bam and picks but even then Embiid is nowhere near ironman either.

But he won't win it, because he is not as good, simple as that. He would need more help than Giannis to win it.

Nah

Can't help wondering if you even watched the game last night based on your take in the OP

It's laughable you think we would trade Embiid for Luka... Luka doesn't even have a positive on/off with this roster, nor does he have a positive on/off for his career. Meanwhile Embiid's on/off over his career is double digit positive (probably higher than anyone in the league?). From a RAPM standpoint, Luka has never sniffed Embiid. He's a much worse defender and much less efficient scorer. Yes Luka is a much better playmaker but it's not enough to make up for the rest.

your point means nothing when 76ers never even reached the finals. the sad truth is luka is barely in his 20s scratching the surface while joel has been already peaked soon to have a harden like decline. i dont understand why people trash luka when he is basically lebron 2.0 without the baggage. luka is generational talent because he can control the pace at all times that alone is a unique trait why i wont trade him for everyone on the roster.

embiid is on his final years while luka remind me of james in his cleveland yrs he will have like 10 straight finals. sixers window closed when they traded simmons and clowning for not able to dunk. their own fans killed the process for being impatient. if im the sixers gm, im not confident embiid and harden to win it all i need someone like a doncic archetype as number 1 option. being healthy is also a skill I look at when building a title team.
Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

I don't know how this could be your takeaway from tonight's game... He almost saved the day with the late 3 followed by the offensive rebound/put back on the next possession. If the refs didn't mistakenly call goal tend, we would have had the ball with more than enough time to get off a good look. Even if you just look at the box score he put up an efficient 29, 14 and 7 with a +3 on the court

Hell, he could have went 0/20 tonight with goose eggs in every stat category and this thread would still be wack

I love when fans cry about the "Refs." Think they only made ONE call all night? Refs!

You are completely misunderstanding my post lol... Let me help you.

1. OP implied Embiid choked in last night's game
2. On the last possession of the game, Harden missed a 3pt shot, Embiid got the rebound and put a shot back up that was mistakenly called goaltending to tie the game
3. After refs reviewed the goal tend, they correctly reversed the call and took away the 2 pts... however, this meant that we had to jump ball at half court with 2 seconds left rather than having the ball in our possession close to the basket like we did in real time

I'm the last person to cry about the refs but I will absolutely state specific facts pertaining to the topic at hand. There were much worse calls earlier that I would have drawn attention to if I wanted to go that route. But yeah... you've always had a weird anti-Emibid POV since his beef with KAT so the unnecessary hostility is nothing new
But the fact you brought up the refs is my point. Think other teams haven't been jobbed by the refs.? There were enough bad calls to even it out. Who's to say you hit the shot at the end?
I could care less about the "beef" with KAT. No worries.
