Sixers would jump at Giannis and Luka for sure and at the very least think twice about Jokic.jpengland wrote:Because they know it would be a prank call?
I can't tell you how quickly the Sixers accept any deal which lands them Giannis or Luka.
It's funny you guys think so, but no... We wouldn't. Why would a win now team trade for a worse player with worse fit just because Luka is younger? As for Giannis, they are on the same tier but once again Embiid's fit is preferable with our current roster. If the Bucks didn't land Holiday last year then Giannis would still be viewed as a playoff choke artist (not that I ever agreed with that take, just making a point). If the Sixers' win this year then suddenly Embiid will be viewed completely differently just like Giannis.
Ehm, no.
Giannis was a 2xMVP and a DPOY before Holiday and the ring.
He had also reached the conference finals.
Along with secondary honors like MIP or ASGmvp.
He won these with Eric Bledsoe, not Jrue Holiday.
Embiid's greatest accomplishment so far are some player of the months accolades.
And the highest he's been is the 2nd round.
What are you comparing here?
They are not on the same tier nor the same boat. They are the same age but giannis was significantly better and more accomplished even before his ring.
Now he's on KDs level.
There are levels. Embiid is not on that level.
Giannis is more accomplished, yes. I also would rank Giannis best in the league and Joel 2nd best (roughly tied with Jokic). That doesn't negate the fact that those players are on the same tier and there's an abundance of data to support that. Like I said, Embiid wins a ring this year and suddenly the narrative is completely different
