Last I checked, I was told she was fired - but no other details. I'll pass any further news on when I hear it.

I'm actually considering something like this pre-retirement since I'm fully remote now. I'll experiment this year (1-3 weeks at a time) and next year (a couple months at a time) with the goal to make a decision by mid-2024 if I really want to be a digital nomad for the foreseeable future.
The biggest thing I need to research is what to do about having some sort of dedicated address to provide my employer and to put on financial documents and other legal stuff. I guess I could always pay a small amount to a relative to "rent" a room in their house and use it as an on-paper permanent residence, but do I trust any of them enough to have my mail come to their house is the question lol.
I'm excited for your pre-retirement and I know it's going to go wellRuzious wrote:LyricalRico wrote:Ruzious wrote:Thinking of doing this when I retire in the next 5 to 10 years. https://www.skyscanner.com/tips-and-inspiration/hotels/living-in-a-hotel But it won't work if we have another major Covid-type situation. Right, my thinking is to get a PO Box and have my brother send the mail to my hotel once every couple of weeks or so. Make the PO Box close to his house, so it's convenient for him.
If you go ahead with this, I'd love to hear how it goes for you.

Living in a hotel for 5 months was fun for me.. It hurt my budget but I got hookups and local rates and in the long haul it all worked outLyricalRico wrote:payitforward wrote:I also remember, a long time ago, reading a story about a woman who lived full time on the QE2. I think I read the same article, or something similar about a woman "retiring" on cruise ships. When you're single, or have the combination of an adventurous spouse and minimal responsibility to other relatives, you can really get creative.

That time God gave me that dream Morris almond was a wizard and they won six straight games without a loss that should have told him GM OWNER ETC HIM something
His father was nice enough to email me and I know that he is an Air Force veteran like I am...I'm just happy that he got two 10-day contracts...
